Hello Everyone! Welcome back! It’s been a busy few weeks for us as we have recently moved into a new to us home. We’re loving every minute of setting up our little place. We put up our beautiful, real, white pine Christmas tree yesterday! In the busyness of life, I’m happy to be back here with you all again.
As I sit here listening to music, I ponder the topic of this post. Peace, that word and the meaning has been on my mind a lot lately. Peace by definition means, freedom from disturbance; tranquility. Yet it’s in the peace that you find the inner fire in yourself, slowly glowing brighter the more at peace you become. Your inner fire by definition means, to find confidence in your life, your work and/or your passions.
Sometimes we can easily forget what peace feels like. The stresses of life, how the year has gone, anxiety, depression, narcissistic people & just stress in general can so quickly rob us of our calm.
I cannot stress how important it is to find & keep that peace. It isn’t always easy, but such a necessity in this life. There are certain people that are no longer in our lives that made our peace disappear. They couldn’t seem to get enough of trying to force pieces together that would never fit, not to mention the attempts in stirring up drama. Never understanding why we made the choices we did. They were too blind to see the truth & honestly, still are. I’ve learned that you have to make your peace and walk away because your tranquility is more important for so many reasons. For your mental health, for your self-esteem, for your anxiety and so much more.
I’m more at peace now than I’ve been in a while. Since that’s happened, that inner fire has rekindled and I’ve started to feel the confidence and passions within me relight. Everything that has always made me feel alive, I can finally see again. When you’re in the middle of so much stress, it’s hard to see the fire for the smoke.
My point of this post is to encourage you to find and hold onto your peace & fire. If other people are a source of you losing your peace, I’m going to be blunt in saying, get them out of your life. It doesn’t matter who they are. They’re not worth it. You deserve so much more. Storms will come in life, we will have times when stress, depression and anxiety try to steal us away from the haven we make. Lean on the Creator to help you through those times, make a promise to yourself to always strive for peace. If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down.
Until next time…..
Katie
